Franshammars Kraftstation & Vandrarhem is a hostel set within a historic early 20th-century power station in Hassela, Hälsingland, Sweden. The property sits beside a rushing river and offers several accommodation options: shared-bathroom rooms in the old smithy, including two family rooms with bunk beds, a double, and a single, plus two self-contained apartments with fully equipped kitchens. The larger apartment spans 185 square metres across two floors and features original wooden floors and exposed ceiling beams. Hassela Ski Resort is within five kilometres, along with cross-country ski trails, swimming at Hasselasjön, hiking in nature reserves, and year-round horseback riding on Icelandic horses. A golf course with a restaurant and café sits directly next to the property. Hassela town centre, with a supermarket and other services, is 1.5 kilometres away. Note that the hostel is currently closed ahead of a change of ownership.
