Hostel Ahku

Hostel Ahku is located at the Giellajohka property in Inari, Finnish Lapland, situated between the Muotkatunturi and Paistunturi wilderness areas along Karigasniementie. The site has offered accommodation for over six decades and is now run as a family business. Rooms feature large windows looking out onto northern landscapes, and the property has a restaurant serving meals made from local, seasonal ingredients, from breakfast through to dinner. The area is well placed for northern lights viewing, far from light pollution. Seasonal activities include snowshoeing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, hiking, and fishing, with reindeer farm visits offering an introduction to Sámi culture. The property is open daily, with varying hours depending on the season.
