Scouts' Youth Hostel - Partiotalon Retkeilymaja

Scouts' Youth Hostel, known locally as Partiotalon Retkeilymaja, is a budget-friendly hostel located close to the centre of Joensuu in eastern Finland. Run entirely by volunteers from the local Scout association, the hostel offers private rooms accommodating one to four guests. Reception is open by arrangement between 16:00 and 21:00; arrivals outside these hours incur a small additional fee. The building also serves as a hub for regional Scout activities during winter. All revenue goes directly toward supporting Scout operations. The hostel is a practical and affordable base for exploring Joensuu, a city known for its proximity to North Karelia's lakes, forests, and outdoor activities. Group bookings and longer stays are available on request. Reservations can be made online through the hostel's booking system.
