STF Almdalens Fjällgård is a historic mountain farm dating from the early 1800s, located in the expansive Hotagens Nature Reserve in Jämtland, Sweden. The property sits 9 kilometres from the nearest road, making it genuinely remote and accessible only on foot or by ski. Accommodation is spread across several cottages with a total of around 26–50 beds. A shared kitchen is available, and breakfast and dinner can be arranged with advance booking. The on-site café serves food and refreshments, and a small shop stocks fishing equipment and provisions. Activities in the surrounding 113,000-hectare reserve include hiking, fishing, hunting, ski touring, and snowmobiling, with guided tours available.
