STF Björkvattnet Vandrarhem

STF Björkvattnet Vandrarhem is located in Frostviken, northwestern Jämtland, just 7 kilometres from the Norwegian border. The hostel is housed in a former village school and offers a quiet, rural setting surrounded by mountains and forests. It has 6 rooms with a total of up to 25 beds, including family rooms, and guests have access to a self-catering kitchen, sauna, and a spa facility with a hot tub and relaxation room, bookable in advance. Outdoor activities in the area include hiking, fishing, foraging for berries and mushrooms, and wildlife watching for beavers, elk, reindeer, and white-tailed eagles. Boat, SUP board, and kayak rental is available, and a swimming spot is within walking distance. The hostel also accommodates groups and conferences. Advance booking is recommended outside summer months.
