STF Fågelsjö/Gästis Vandrarhem

STF Fågelsjö/Gästis Vandrarhem, also known as Gästis, is a small hostel situated in the scenic Orsa Finnmark region of central Sweden, on the borders of Hälsingland, Dalarna, and Härjedalen. The historic building, once a traditional inn and village store, has been renovated while retaining its older character. It offers rooms for up to around 26–50 guests, with a self-catering kitchen available. The nearby UNESCO World Heritage site Fågelsjö Gammelgård Bortom Åa is about one kilometer away, and Hamra National Park is also within reach. Canoe and bicycle rental are available. The hostel operates as unstaffed with self check-in, and is open year-round. A summer café at the heritage farm provides breakfast options. Pets are permitted in designated rooms.
