STF Medskog/Östra Ämtervik vandrarhem

STF Medskog/Östra Ämtervik is a hostel and activity village set in the forests of Värmland, in Sunne municipality. Accommodation consists of six cottages and three apartments, all equipped for self-catering. The surroundings include large open lawns for outdoor games. A breakfast buffet is available for individual guests, while groups can arrange half or full board. The area is closely associated with Nobel Prize-winning author Selma Lagerlöf, whose former home Mårbacka is a nearby heritage site. Lake Visten is around 1.5 kilometres away and suitable for swimming and fishing. Hiking trails run through the area, and cyclists can choose between a gravel cultural route or a paved 90-kilometre trail along the Klarälven river following an old railway line. The site also hosts conferences, camps, and private events.
