STF Ransbysätern

STF Ransbysätern is a rustic fäbod (mountain farm) retreat located outside Sysslebäck in Värmland, Sweden. Guests stay in traditional log cabins without electricity, each equipped with a wood-burning fireplace, gas stove, and bedding. Bring your own bed linen. The property has an outdoor shower and composting toilet. Daily chores like chopping wood and fetching water from the well are part of the experience, with goats and horses grazing nearby. A self-catering kitchen is available, along with simple café service on site. Hiking trails lead to Ransby and Långberget Sporthotell, and a swimming lake is 3 km away. The surrounding area is ideal for foraging mushrooms and berries. In July, the property hosts Utmarksmusiken, a folk music event. Pets are welcome in designated cabins. The hostel is reached via a 7 km gravel road off Route 62.
