STF Torröstugan Färnebofjärden

STF Torröstugan Färnebofjärden is a traditional red Swedish cottage located on the island of Torrön in Färnebofjärden National Park, reached by a short rowing trip across the Dalälven river. The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms spread over two floors, with a spacious kitchen on the ground floor and a large common room in the basement. There is no electricity or running water — lighting comes from candles and cooking is done on a wood-burning stove, offering a genuine back-to-basics experience. When booked, guests have the entire cottage to themselves. The surrounding national park offers fishing, paddling, swimming, and marked hiking trails all within easy reach. Pets are welcome. The cottage is open from late May to late September, with discounts available for week-long stays. Parking is available on the mainland near the rowing point.
