STF Växhuset Vandrarhem Söderhamn

STF Växhuset Vandrarhem is a year-round hostel located outside Söderhamn in southern Hälsingland, set within a lush garden surrounded by forests, lakes, and hills. The hostel is run as part of a small eco-village guided by permaculture principles, with solar power, composting toilets, and solar-heated showers. Accommodation options include rooms in the main building, which is connected to a greenhouse, and a unique 12-sided building available in summer. The main building houses a guest kitchen and breakfast service. A room called "the Studio" includes a small cinema and a film and gardening library. Edesjön lake is just 150 metres away, where guests can swim or borrow a canoe. The hostel also hosts courses and lectures on gardening, eco-building, and sustainability.
