STF Vilhelmina Kyrkstaden is located in the small town of Vilhelmina by Lake Volgsjön in southern Lapland. Guests stay in carefully restored 19th-century cottages within the historic church town quarter, most featuring open fireplaces and traditional Vilhelmina wallpaper. Each cottage has its own character. The hostel has around 50 rooms and up to 100 beds, including family rooms, with a self-catering kitchen, sauna, and WiFi available. Pets are welcome in designated rooms. Nearby you will find marked hiking trails, cross-country ski tracks, a swimming spot, and world-class fishing. The church town itself hosts a heritage museum, Sami gallery, craft workshops, and a local shop. Vilhelmina is reachable by train, including the scenic Inlandsbanan, as well as by bus, car, or flight via South Lapland Airport. Reception is located at the tourist office on Tingsgatan 1.
