The YARD Hostel

The YARD Hostel is an independent, locally run hostel located on Kalevankatu in central Helsinki, about 500 metres from the main railway station. The hostel offers a range of room types including four-, six-, and eight-bed dormitories as well as single, twin, and quadruple private rooms, all with shared bathroom facilities. Dorm beds come with bunk beds, premium mattresses, reading lights, personal sockets, and under-bed storage. Linens and Wi-Fi are included. Female-only dorms are available. Guests have access to a shared kitchen, a common lounge with Netflix, and breakfast is on offer. The central location puts bars, restaurants, sights, and public transport within easy walking distance. The hostel has no staffed reception around the clock, so guests receive a key code for after-hours access. The interior draws on Finnish design with an urban feel.
