Vandrarhemmet Tallbacka Ängelsberg

Vandrarhemmet Tallbacka is a small, characterful hostel set across four historic buildings in the village of Ängelsberg, Västmanland. Open May through October, it offers nine private rooms with 20 beds in total, plus a self-catering apartment available year-round. Facilities include two self-catering kitchens, a wood-fired sauna, and a private dock on Lake Åmänningen. During summer, a breakfast buffet and evening meals are available to book in advance, and a garden cafe serves lunch with lake views. The hostel sits within easy walking distance of the UNESCO World Heritage site Engelsbergs Bruk, the world's oldest preserved oil refinery, and a free outdoor sculpture park. Guided forest bathing sessions can also be arranged. Nearby Norberg, around 18 kilometres away, offers cross-country skiing from December onwards. The whole property can be hired exclusively by groups.
