Furutangen Vandrerhjem

Furutangen Vandrerhjem is a camp and hostel site situated on the fjord in Hjelmeland, in the Ryfylke region of western Norway, about 60 minutes from Stavanger. The facility can accommodate up to 140 guests across dormitory-style rooms, self-catering apartments, and glamping options. A large communal dining hall and meeting room are available on site. Outdoor activities include canoe, kayak, and SUP board rental, boat hire, a guest marina with water and electricity hookups, a sandy volleyball court, and a hiking trail up Randåsen. The grounds cover 30 acres with plenty of open space. The site is affiliated with the Norwegian Missionary Society and has a strong tradition of hosting youth camps, school trips, and group retreats, though private stays and events are also welcome.
