Magasingården

Magasingården is a certified pilgrim accommodation located in Visnes on the island of Karmøy, along the Coastal Pilgrim Route (Kystpilegrimsleia). The building is a restored former carpenter's workshop dating back to the era of Visnes Kobberverk, a copper mine that operated from 1865 to 1972. Guests stay in private rooms with recently renovated facilities and shared bathroom. The site sits within a well-preserved mining community where you can visit Visnes Grubemuseum, a smelting house, and workers' cottages. Riding and walking trails run through the nearby Fransehagen park. The accommodation costs 200 NOK per night, with bedding available for an additional 100 NOK. Open from 15 June to 10 August. Advance booking is preferred; for same-day arrivals, a phone call is recommended in addition to the online booking form.
