Helligskogen

Aurora Lodge Helligskogen is a historic accommodation set in the Skibotn Valley of Storfjord, northern Norway, roughly two hours from Tromsø. The lodge is housed in a restored 19th-century customs station log house dating back to 1846, situated near the triple border point where Norway, Sweden, and Finland meet. It is well positioned for viewing the northern lights. Guests can take part in dogsledding and snowmobiling trips through the surrounding Arctic landscape, as well as hiking, Nordic skiing, fishing, and hunting. Electric mountain bike rentals are available in summer. A traditional log cabin sauna and a riverside fireplace shelter are on site for relaxing after outdoor activities. The lodge is close to Kilpisjärvi, Finland, making it a convenient base for exploring the wider border region.
