Långören 118, 370 42 Torhamn, SE
Location map

Långörens Lotshus is a historic pilot station building on the island of Långören in the Blekinge archipelago, accessible by ferry from Torhamn. The hostel is run by a local heritage association on a non-profit basis, with all income going toward maintaining the heritage-listed buildings. Accommodation is simple but cosy, with electricity available though water comes from an outdoor tap. There are two composting toilets on the property. Guests must bring their own bed linen. The island has two swimming spots and good walking, with east and west-facing beaches offering sunrise and sunset views over the sea. A barbecue and outdoor furniture are available. Note that there are no shops on the island, the nearest is in Torhamn on the mainland. The buildings are protected historical landmarks, so accessibility is limited due to stairs, thresholds, and narrow doorways.
