Lugnåsberget Ekohotell
Lugnåsberget Ekohotell is a rural eco-hotel situated just outside Mariestad in Skaraborg, western Sweden, within an area recognised by two UNESCO designations: the Vänern Archipelago Biosphere Reserve and the Platåbergens Geopark. The property sits in a scenic natural setting with a large garden, cherry trees, and grazing animals including sheep and hens. All rooms have private entrances, en-suite shower and toilet, and most include a kitchen or kitchenette. Organic breakfast baskets and home-cooked meals using local produce can be ordered. Guests can rent bicycles and canoes, use the wood-fired sauna, or explore nearby hiking and cycling trails. The Qvarnstensgruvan museum is 3 km away, with Kinnekulle, Göta Canal, and Läckö Castle within day-trip distance. Dogs are welcome in several rooms. Electric vehicle charging points are available on site. Open year-round.
