STF Fältjägaren Fjällstuga

STF Fältjägaren Fjällstuga is a mountain cabin with 20 beds located on a high, open plateau in Bergs kommun, Jämtland, between Ramundberget (about 16 km away) and STF Helags Fjällstation (about 12 km north). The cabin sits within panoramic views of Helagsfjället and Skarsfjället — Helags being Sweden's highest peak south of the Arctic Circle at 1,797 metres. Accommodation is in shared dormitory-style rooms with bunk beds and wood-burning stoves. Guests self-cater using the shared kitchen and are expected to chop wood, fetch water, and clean up after themselves. A resident warden is on site. The area offers excellent hiking and winter skiing along marked trails, as well as fishing nearby. Pets are accepted in designated rooms. The cabin opens during winter (late February to mid-April) and summer (July to mid-September) seasons only.
