STF Helags Fjällstation

STF Helags Fjällstation sits at the foot of Helagsmassivet in the roadless mountain terrain outside Ljungdalen, with views of Sweden's southernmost glacier at 1,797 metres above sea level. The station has been welcoming hikers and skiers since 1897. Accommodation options include four-bed private rooms in the cabins Sunnan and Nordan, shared dorms with four or eight beds, and the more rustic wood-heated Gamla Östan with five- and nine-bed rooms. The station serves daily breakfast buffet, lunch, and dinner made with local ingredients such as char and reindeer. On site you'll find a sauna, shop, equipment rental, and guided activities including summit climbs and arctic fox safaris. The nearest trailhead is at Kläppen, about 12 kilometres away. Open during winter and summer seasons only.
