STF Vålåstugan Fjällstuga

STF Vålåstugan Fjällstuga is a mountain cabin located in Vålådalen Nature Reserve in Åre municipality, situated on a hillside at the boundary between forest and alpine terrain, with views over lakes and marshland. The facility consists of two cabins with a total of 44 beds, including multi-bed rooms with self-catering kitchens and wood-burning stoves. Guests are expected to chop wood, fetch water, and clean up after themselves. A small on-site shop sells food, drinks, and basic supplies. Fishing permits can be arranged locally, and the surrounding area offers good fishing waters. Hiking trails lead in five directions from the cabin, connecting to Stensdalen, Helags, Lunndörren, and Vålådalen. The cabin is open in winter and summer seasons. Mobile coverage is limited on site. Pets are permitted in designated rooms.
