STF Lunndörren Fjällstuga
STF Lunndörren Fjällstuga is a mountain cabin situated on the border between forest and open alpine terrain in Jämtland, part of Åre municipality. The hostel has 26 beds spread across two cabins: a larger building with five four-bed rooms, and a smaller cabin with 6 beds that also serves as an emergency shelter and pet-friendly room. Guests share a self-catering kitchen equipped with a wood-burning stove, and a small on-site shop sells basic provisions. A wood-fired sauna sits beside the nearby lake, Lunndörrstjärnen. The area offers good fishing, berry picking, and access to marked hiking and winter trails less than a kilometre away. The cabin forms part of the Vålådalsfyrkanten hiking circuit. The historic Lunndörren mountain pass, used for over a thousand years, runs through the area. Open in winter and summer seasons only.
