STF Vålådalen Fjällstation

STF Vålådalen Fjällstation is a mountain station located at the end of the road at the foot of Ottfjället in Jämtland, Sweden. With 225 beds, it offers a range of accommodation options including hotel rooms, log cabins with turf roofs, and self-catering units. The station serves as a natural starting point for numerous hiking and skiing trails into the Jämtland mountain wilderness. Cross-country skiing is available from as early as October. A restaurant is on site, and the station caters to both individual travellers and groups, with conference facilities available. The area is accessible by train, with daily connections from Stockholm and Gothenburg, making it a practical base for exploring the surrounding nature reserve and mountain landscape in both summer and winter.
