Strand Vandrarhem

Strand Vandrarhem is a small, characterful hostel located on Långgatan in central Hjo, just a short walk from Lake Vättern and the town's main square. The hostel offers 11 beds across 4 rooms in two separate buildings: an upper floor in the main house, reached via an external spiral staircase, and a ground-floor annex with two additional rooms. Rooms have single and double beds, and guests share bathrooms. The main building has a fully equipped kitchen, while the annex has a basic kitchenette. A shared outdoor patio and free on-site parking are available. Bedding and towels can be hired for an extra fee. Hjo is known for its well-preserved 17th to 19th century wooden architecture, and the hostel sits within that historic district. The hostel is open year-round and must be booked directly with the host by phone or email. Pets are welcome. No Wi-Fi.
