STF Blåhammaren

STF Blåhammaren is a mountain hostel situated at 1,086 metres above sea level on the open fell in western Jämtland, accessible only on foot or by ski, typically from the trailhead at Storulvån. It sits on two of Sweden's most popular multi-day routes, the Jämtlandstriangeln and Sylarna runt, with views stretching to the Helagsmassivet and Sylmassivet to the south and the Norwegian mountains to the west. The hostel accommodates between 26 and 50 guests and features a self-catering kitchen, sauna with panoramic views, showers, drying room, and a shop stocking trail food and supplies. The 100-year-old main building offers communal areas for dining and socialising. Pets are permitted in designated rooms. The hostel is cashless and open during winter and summer seasons only.
