STF Pieskehaure Fjällstuga
STF Pieskehaure Fjällstuga is a remote mountain cabin with 26 beds located beside Lake Pieskehaure in Arjeplogs kommun, close to the Norwegian border and the Sulitelma massif. The cabin sits along the Nordkalottleden trail, a long-distance route crossing Sweden, Norway, and Finland. It can be reached on foot or by ski from Kvikkjokk in around three days, or from the Norwegian village of Sulitjelma. Accommodation is in shared rooms of varying sizes, with bunk beds and wood-burning stoves for heat. Guests use a shared self-catering kitchen, chop their own firewood, and fetch water from the stream or lake. A sauna is available on site, along with a small shop selling provisions. Day hikes toward Sulitelma's glaciers are a highlight of the area. There is no mobile coverage. Pets are permitted in a designated room.
