STF Vaimok Fjällstuga

STF Vaimok Fjällstuga is a remote mountain cabin situated on the northern shore of Lake Vaimok along the Nordkalottenleden trail, in Jokkmokks kommun in Swedish Lapland. The lake is one of the clearest in Sweden, with a visibility depth of 17 metres. The cabin sleeps 26 guests across one 10-bed room and four 4-bed rooms, all with bunk beds and wood stoves for heating. A shared self-catering kitchen and a drying room are available on site. A caretaker is present during opening seasons. Guests are expected to chop wood, fetch water, and clean up after themselves. There is no mobile coverage, and payment is by cash only. The cabin sits between STF Tarrekaise and STF Pieskehaure on the trail, roughly two to three days on foot or skis from Kvikkjokk. Summer hiking and winter ski touring are the main activities, with good terrain for telemark skiing and ice fishing in spring.
