STF Tarrekaise Fjällstuga

STF Tarrekaise Fjällstuga is a mountain cabin located on the northern shore of Tarraure lake in Jokkmokks kommun, northern Sweden. Situated on the Padjelantaleden trail between Kvikkjokk and Staloluokta, it offers 26 beds spread across two guest cabins. Accommodation is in shared dormitory-style rooms with bunk beds, wood-burning stoves, and self-catering kitchens. There is no mobile coverage at the site. A hostel warden is on hand to assist guests. The location offers views of the twin peaks of Mount Staika and its glacier. Nearby highlights include a swimming spot in Tarraure, the small plateau Hilldo above the cabin, and the historic Tarraälvshyddan shelter from 1887, about five kilometres along the trail. Wildlife in the area includes elk, ptarmigan, and various other birds. The hostel is open during winter and summer seasons only.
