STF Sälka Fjällstuga

STF Sälka Fjällstuga is a mountain cabin with 54 beds located along Kungsleden between Abisko and Nikkaluokta, in the Kebnekaise massif in Kiruna municipality. The cabin sits at the junction of Tjäktjavagge and Stuor Räitavagge valleys, making it a well-placed base for demanding summit tours on Sälka mountain as well as the more accessible peak of Reaiddanjunnji. Accommodation is in shared multi-bed rooms with bunk beds and wood stoves. Guests self-cater using the shared kitchen and are expected to chop wood, fetch water, and clean up after themselves. On site there is a sauna, a shop stocking provisions and outdoor supplies, and a staff member available for assistance. Note that there is no mobile phone coverage at the cabin. The hostel is open in winter and summer seasons only.
