STF Sitojaure Fjällstuga

STF Sitojaure Fjällstuga is a remote mountain cabin located on the northern shore of Lake Sitojaure in Jokkmokks kommun, along the Kungsleden trail between Saltoluokta and Kvikkjokk. The cabin offers 22 beds across two guest cottages, with shared self-catering facilities. Guests are expected to chop wood, fetch water, and clean up after themselves. A small safety room with a wood stove and gas cooker remains open year-round. The lake is notably warm for a mountain lake and popular for swimming. Nearby highlights include the viewpoint at Lulep Vaggevarasi and the peaks of Tjirak and Tjiraksnjurte. The surrounding birch forest and lake attract a variety of birdlife. Note that crossing the lake requires a motorboat service. Open during winter and summer seasons. Pets are allowed in designated rooms.
