STF Syter Fjällstuga

STF Syter Fjällstuga is a mountain cabin located along the Kungsleden trail in Storumans kommun, around 23 kilometres northeast of Hemavan in northern Sweden. Built in 1923, it sits beside the Svärfarsbäcken stream at the foot of Norra Storfjället, with easy access to Norra Sytertoppen at 1,768 metres above sea level. The cabin sleeps 28 guests across several shared rooms of varying sizes, with wood-burning stoves for heat and bunk beds throughout. A shared self-catering kitchen and a drying room are available on site. A resident caretaker is present during the season. Nearby highlights include the Tärnasjön island archipelago, reachable via a series of suspension and beam bridges along the trail, and the striking U-shaped valley of Syterskalet. The cabin is open in winter and summer seasons and is well suited for trekkers hiking the Ammarnäs to Hemavan section of Kungsleden.
