STF Alesjaure Fjällstuga

STF Alesjaure Fjällstuga is STF's largest mountain cabin, located on a hilltop with sweeping views along Kungsleden between Abisko and Kebnekaise, in Kiruna municipality in northern Sweden. The facility consists of three guest cabins with a total of 78 beds, each cabin offering a 10-bed room and four 4-bed rooms, a drying room, and a shared self-catering kitchen. A separate main building houses reception, a shop selling provisions and outdoor equipment, a common room, and a sauna. Guests are expected to chop wood, fetch water, and clean up after themselves. There is no mobile coverage at the cabin, though a phone is available at a fee. A limited number of pet-friendly rooms are available. The cabin is open in winter and summer seasons and sits less than one kilometre from marked hiking and winter trails. The nearest starting point is Abisko, roughly two days on foot.
