STF Sitasjaure Fjällstuga

STF Sitasjaure Fjällstuga is a remote mountain cabin located about 22 kilometres north of Ritsem in Gällivare kommun, offering views over the surrounding fells and the lake Sitasjaure. The hostel has 28 beds spread across two guest cabins, with rooms sleeping between 2 and 8 people. Both cabins have self-catering kitchens, and wood-burning stoves provide heat. A resident host is on site during opening periods. Guests are expected to chop wood, fetch water, and clean up after themselves. Nearby is a traditional Sami settlement with several historic Sami offering sites. Marked hiking and winter trails pass within one kilometre. The route onward toward Hukejaure passes stalotomter, ancient Sami mythological sites. Pets are permitted in designated rooms. The cabin is open in late winter and summer seasons. Payment by card, cash, or Swish with Telenor is accepted.
